Description: Wolff Tree and Landscape, LLC (WTL), a residential and commercial tree care provider, is looking for an experienced groundsman to join our hard working team. We pride ourselves on client satisfaction, quality service, and attention to detail with a focus on safety. WTL is a growing company located in Taylorsville, MD. We are seeking a motivated, energetic candidate with the ability to be a strategic leader. Candidate must have an optimistic and successful attitude while demonstrating positive behaviors on ethics and integrity. WTL is a drug-free workplace offering competitive salaries. We are seeking full-time employment but will consider part-time.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in tree care industry, 1+ years preferred
- Safely and efficiently aid in tree removal, pruning, planting, clearing, and stump grinding.
- Safely lower branches and operate various hand held machinery (chainsaws, pole saws, etc.) keeping the landing zone free and clear of debris.
- Aid in landscape installation including but not limited to: mulching, planting, trimming, and edging.
- Daily driver of various equipment and employees to the job site.
- Assist in daily maintenance checks and perform basic maintenance of fleet vehicles and equipment.
- Ability to perform various tasks independently (i.e. performing a stump grinding job, delivering firewood to customers, etc.)
- Develop proficiency in operating a bucket truck, skid loader, chipper, stump grinder, wood processor, and splitter.
- Operate skid steer, 4-wheeler with plow, and plow truck in order to remove snow from the work site. Willingness to shovel snow occasionally.
- Strong sense of safety, leadership, listening skills, and detail oriented
- Customer service skills; both residential and commercial
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record

- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Maryland Tree Expert License
- Certified Tree Care Safety Professional (CTSP)
- Degree in forestry, arboriculture, or related field
- EHAP Training a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
